From May 19 to 21, 2026, the CWIEME Berlin Coil Exhibition successfully concluded at the Berlin ExpoCenter in Germany. As an important international communication platform in the industry, the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association organized domestic electrical industry enterprises to participate in the exhibition and visit Germany.
The year 2026 holds special significance for the Berlin Coil Exhibition — the event celebrates its milestone 30th anniversary. This edition of the exhibition, themed ‘Power Meets Progress,’ not only reviews the technological innovations in coils, motors, and insulating materials over the past thirty years but also looks forward to the future of electrification and sustainable development. Over the years, continuously growing and evolving, since its first launch in 1996, the exhibition has developed into the world’s largest and most professional trade fair for electromagnetic coils, windings, motors, transformers, and electrical insulation.
The exhibition this year covers an area of 40,000 square meters and brings together nearly 500 participating companies from 35 countries and regions worldwide, including global industry leaders such as Siemens, Hitachi Energy, Thyssenkrupp, ENPAY, Reinhausen, and F.U.R. Nearly 200 Chinese companies are present at this exhibition, including Shanghai Huaming, Chongqing Wangbian, Wuxi Putian, Liuzhou Tebian, Shandong Dachi, Zhuzhou Nanfang Electromechanical, Xi’an Qiyuan, Nanjing Electric, and Jufeng Co., Ltd. The exhibition has attracted professional visitors from 87 countries and regions for negotiations, among whom 83% have purchasing decision-making power, providing participating companies with high-quality international trade opportunities.
As a global gathering platform for transformers, motors, power grid operators, and innovators in distribution and electric mobility, bringing together key forces from all sectors of the industry, this exhibition has undergone a comprehensive reform and upgrade in its content setup.
This exhibition features an ‘Innovation Zone,’ focusing on the application of emerging technologies in electrical engineering. Experts from organizations and companies such as Stora Enso, Nidec Power, and the University of Bristol delivered nearly 20 outstanding presentations on hot topics, including renewable insulation materials, additive manufacturing technologies, fiber optic sensing and monitoring, and axial flux motor design. At the same time, the ‘Innovation Tour’ event allowed professional buyers to get a first look at future technologies capable of reshaping the energy and materials sectors.
Through on-site observation learning and in-depth technical exchanges, enterprises gain precise insights into the cutting-edge technology trends and industry development directions in the fields of global motors, transformers, and electrical insulation materials, broaden their perspective on industrial development, and accumulate valuable practical experience and ideas for subsequent domestic technology iteration upgrades and management model innovation.
The exhibition lasts for three days, with the association precisely building a bridge for supply-demand matching.
