LOS ANGELES – September 21, 2026 –<\/strong> Kill Pretty has been named the best independently published magazine of 2026, recognizing a fiercely independent publication built for underground art, skateboarding, graffiti, comedy and the people who do not see themselves reflected in conventional culture magazines.<\/p>\n

Created by artist and performer Tyler Nacho, Kill Pretty describes itself as a “FREAKS ONLY” publication, “made by freaks, for freaks.” That point of view runs through its print issues and online work: personal essays, interviews, original art, cultural criticism and deliberately strange stories that would be difficult to mistake for anything produced by a traditional media company.<\/p>\n

The magazine’s archive reflects the range of its world. Kill Pretty has featured conversations and work involving artists, skaters and performers including Christy Karacas, Henry Zebrowski, Fancy Lads, Crimebo the Clown, JAMES, Superchief Gallery, queer indie skater Chandler Burton and comedian Bert Kreischer.
