To further put its “<\/strong>teacher culture” into practice and strengthen the professional capabilities of management in employee conversations and psychological support, NHU launched its internal EAP training program on August 29 at the company’s headquarters. The program is designed to further advance the company’s “Five Essential Visits and Five Essential Conversations” initiative for employee care. More than 380 management representatives from various business units, full-time and part-time Party affairs coordinators, and staff responsible for trade union affairs, human resources, and corporate culture and communications participated in the training.<\/p>\n

The program was designed and delivered by Professor Shen Xuanyuan, PhD in psychology, Distinguished Professor at the Center for Basic Education Development of Hangzhou Normal University and Chairman of Zhejiang Shaifu Social Work Service Research Institute. The Hangzhou Institute for Health Promotion provided professional support for the program.<\/p>\n

Centered on the application of Solution-Focused Brief Coaching (SFBC) in corporate EAP programs, the training explored relevant theories from positive psychology, postmodern psychology, and EAP practice before moving into practical areas, including the identification of abnormal emotional and behavioral signals among employees, the systematic application of communication and coaching techniques, and hands-on crisis intervention. The program is designed to help participants communicate effectively, connect employees with appropriate resources, and translate psychological approaches into a practical tool for strengthening team management.<\/p>\n

The training follows a structured, progressive curriculum that combines in-person instruction with online supervision and covers theoretical learning, case analysis, and hands-on practice. Through sustained professional learning and practice, the program aims to build an internal EAP team capable of effective employee conversations, equipped with foundational psychological knowledge, and able to identify signs of psychological crisis and provide early intervention. The initiative will provide a stronger foundation for supporting employee well-being while enhancing organizational effectiveness.<\/p>\n

From regular care-oriented conversations under the “Five Essential Visits and Five Essential Conversations” initiative to the professional development of its EAP system, NHU has consistently placed employee well-being and growth high on its corporate agenda.
