U.S.-based entrepreneur and technology leader Marty Brickey is calling on individuals to help create a culture where innovation, awareness, and everyday action improve support for veterans living with PTSD, anxiety, and trauma. <\/div>\n

Orlando, Florida, United States – August 22, 2026 –<\/strong> Entrepreneur, investor, and technology leader Marty Brickey is encouraging people across the country to rethink how they support veterans facing PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Drawing on decades of experience building technology companies, Brickey believes meaningful progress begins by solving real problems with practical solutions and by recognizing that everyone has a role to play.<\/p>\n

Throughout his career, Brickey has built businesses by identifying overlooked opportunities. Today, he is applying that same mindset to veteran mental health.<\/p>\n

“I’ve never been interested in building something just because it’s popular,” Brickey says. “I’d rather solve a real problem that people deal with every day.”<\/p>\n

For Brickey, that problem is clear. According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, an estimated 17 veterans die by suicide each day in the United States. The National Center for PTSD also reports that 11% to 20% of veterans who served in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom experience PTSD in a given year, while studies estimate that millions of veterans continue to live with the long-term effects of trauma. Research also shows that stigma and lack of access remain major barriers to seeking care.<\/p>\n

Brickey believes innovation should be part of the solution.<\/p>\n

“I’ve spent my career building products,” he says. “The ones I’m most proud of are the ones that improve someone’s life.”<\/p>\n

His advocacy focuses on encouraging the development of practical technology that complements traditional mental health care, while also reminding people that support often starts with simple human connection.<\/p>\n

“If people can’t easily use what you build, it doesn’t matter how impressive the technology is,” Brickey explains. “The goal should always be making help easier to reach.”<\/p>\n

He also believes individuals should not underestimate the impact of everyday conversations.<\/p>\n

“The biggest opportunities usually start with someone asking a better question,” he says. “That applies to people just as much as it does to business. Sometimes asking, ‘How are you really doing?’ is the question that matters most.”<\/p>\n
