Georgia, United States – August 20, 2026 –<\/strong> Foster With Love Inc., a Georgia-based nonprofit organization, has announced plans to launch “Tomorrow’s Leaders,” a new program created to mentor at-risk children and children in foster care and help them build leadership skills, confidence, and strong character. The program is part of the organization’s wider effort to support foster children, young people who are aging out of the care system, and the families who care for them.<\/p>\n

Foster With Love Inc. provides mentorship, leadership development, educational support, and community resources to young people in foster care or at risk. The new program will focus on preparing children and teenagers for adulthood by pairing them with mentors and teaching practical life and leadership skills.<\/p>\n

The announcement comes at a time when hundreds of thousands of children remain in the United States foster care system. According to the U.S. Administration for Children and Families, 328,947 children were in foster care in the United States as of September 30, 2024. Federal data also shows that 15,379 youth exited foster care through emancipation, or aging out, in FY2024, often leaving care without a permanent family or a strong support network.<\/p>\n

“Every child deserves to be loved, supported, and given the chance to reach their full potential,” said Dr.Sheila Renee Goodwin, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Foster With Love Inc. “Through Tomorrow’s Leaders, we want young people to know that their past does not decide their future. We focus not on where a child has been, but on where they can go.”<\/p>\n

Goodwin founded the organization based on her own experience. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was raised in kinship care after her parents struggled with substance use. She has said that growing up in the foster care system gave her a firsthand understanding of the uncertainty many children face, and that this experience shaped the mission of Foster With Love Inc.<\/p>\n

Outside of her nonprofit work, Dr.Goodwin has more than 25 years of experience as a business owner, tax professional, and certified business coach. She has received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award and holds an honorary Doctorate in Business Philosophy.<\/p>\n

The organization says the “Tomorrow’s Leaders” program reflects its long-term goal of helping to break cycles of hardship by giving children stability, guidance, and tools for success. Foster With Love Inc. plans to work with schools, community groups, volunteers, and local partners to expand the program’s reach. The organization invites community members, educators, investors, entrepreneurs, foster and adoptive families, child welfare professionals, and local businesses to learn more about its programs and the ways they can participate through mentorship, volunteering, and community partnerships.<\/p>\n
