Earl L. Carlson<\/strong> is an award-winning author whose lifelong relationship with literature began in a small logging community in northern Minnesota, fifty miles up a dirt road from the nearest public library. As a young reader, he immersed himself in works such as The Three Musketeers<\/em>, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer<\/em>, and Drums Along the Mohawk<\/em>, later discovering writers including John Steinbeck, Erskine Caldwell, Thorne Smith, Dostoevsky, Henry James, Voltaire, Aldous Huxley, and H.
