This September, Nigerian-American DJ, producer, and cultural entrepreneur DJ IREM$ (Samuel Enyi) is trading the club for the clouds, hauling his decks up Africa’s tallest peak to attempt an officially approved Guinness World Records feat, multiple record categories broken by a DJ in a single attempt, some that have barely been tried, and some that have never been done at all.<\/p>\n

Over 14 days, 7 to 9 days of hiking with built-in contingency days, DJ IREM$ will trek Kilimanjaro’s slopes toward the summit, carrying a full DJ setup to the roof of Africa. It’s audacious. It’s borderline unreasonable. That’s the point.<\/p>\n
