The guides address a set of practical questions the studio hears regularly from customers, including where each piece belongs on a set table, how to arrange a Thanksgiving table when serving dishes compete with decoration for space, and what a guest bathroom needs in order to work without a visitor having to open a cupboard.<\/p>\n

The material reflects a consistent position taken by the studio, which is that objects intended for a home should be used rather than protected. The hosting guidance recommends serving pieces that can remain on a table for the length of a long meal, shared dishes in place of plated courses so the host stays seated, and restraint in table decoration so that the surface still functions once food arrives.<\/p>\n

Each design begins as an original clay sculpture by Tina Frey, from which every piece is hand cast in resin in small batches and hand sanded. The studio works in resin and in other metals.
