Built around the <strong>OCPP 1.6J open standard<\/strong>, it supports compatible charging hardware without locking operators into a closed hardware ecosystem and integrates <strong>local payment rails<\/strong> for the Moroccan market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalnewslines.com\/uploads\/2026\/08\/73e8658087070d45dc9176a5c6ba54d5.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">WATT.MA operates a platform-first model built on <strong>proprietary technology, SaaS fees and revenue-sharing with charging partners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalnewslines.com\/uploads\/2026\/08\/a1d3c441e4707f3c5aa635db474fbbd3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>GreenUp Morocco and UM6P U-Founders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">WATT.MA was selected for <strong>GreenUp Morocco<\/strong>, an incubation initiative launched by Morocco&rsquo;s Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development and RES4Africa Foundation, in partnership with <strong>Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P)<\/strong> and with contributions from the <strong>Enel Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">RES4Africa&rsquo;s 2025 Annual Report names <strong>Watt.ma<\/strong> among the startups selected for the program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Through GreenUp Morocco and the <strong>UM6P U-Founders<\/strong> environment, WATT.MA refined its commercial model and strengthened its understanding of Morocco&rsquo;s climate-tech, regulatory and energy ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Prince Marfo led WATT.MA&rsquo;s participation in GreenUp Morocco<\/strong>, representing the platform throughout the incubation process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>African Youth Climate Hub<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Separately, WATT.MA participated in the fourth edition of the <strong>African Youth Climate Hub (AYCH)<\/strong>, an initiative of the <strong>Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection<\/strong> supporting youth-led climate solutions across Africa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>WATT.MA was the only Moroccan startup participating in its AYCH cohort.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The program helped WATT.MA further refine its market strategy and expand its relationships across the African climate-tech ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalnewslines.com\/uploads\/2026\/08\/09ed0985c66801e8085fde3a55645ad7.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">At the <strong>AYCH Demo Day on July 10, 2026, Nizar El Ghanbaz represented WATT.MA during the platform&rsquo;s pitch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalnewslines.com\/uploads\/2026\/08\/f5a1add263873820fd9033ecaeb84b84.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Scaling in Morocco<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As WATT.MA expands commercially, it continues to engage across Morocco&rsquo;s energy and climate ecosystem, including with the <strong>Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, AMEE, IRESEN, ONEE and Masen<\/strong>, around research, regulation, infrastructure and the broader scaling of EV charging in Morocco.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&ldquo;The partnerships and relationships we built through GreenUp Morocco, UM6P and AYCH give us confidence in our ability to bring WATT.MA to mass-market adoption,&rdquo;
