For more than fifteen years, Dr. Azzurra Missinato<\/strong> dedicated her career to science. She earned a PhD, worked in academic research, transitioned into the biotechnology industry, and contributed to developing therapies designed to improve lives.<\/p>\n

Yet despite decades of higher education, she realized something that would ultimately change the course of her career.<\/p>\n

No one had ever taught her how money truly works.<\/p>\n

That realization became painfully clear while working for a biotechnology company whose compensation package included company stock options. When a clinical hold temporarily halted one of the company’s drug programs, investor confidence declined rapidly, causing the value of her stock compensation to fall dramatically in less than two weeks.<\/p>\n

“It wasn’t poor performance or a bad decision,” Missinato explained. “It was concentrated market risk—something completely outside my control. I realized that after all my education, nobody had ever taught me how to protect the wealth I was building.”<\/p>\n

That experience became the inspiration behind Mercury Legacy<\/strong>, the financial service firm she co-founded with Joseph Mubanga<\/strong> to help professionals build wealth through a different lens.<\/p>\n
