United States – September 16, 2026 – San Francisco-based poet Aaron Gedaliah announces that his forthcoming poetry collection, Ceylon Moon, has received the Literary Titan Book Award. Gedaliah, who has studied his own dreams for four decades, views dreaming and poetry as parallel forms of discovery, with one traveling through the mind by night and the other by day. Poems in “What the Night Brings” explore the unsettled meanings of dreams, while “With [In] Sanity” examines the narrow and shifting boundary between convention, creativity, sanity, and madness.
In “The Voices,” Gedaliah assumes the perspectives of stone, trees, clouds, mountains, and the sea. These Rilkean poems use nature to explore stability, memory, surrender, and humanity’s desire to find significance beyond the self. The closing section turns toward aging, loss, physical decline, remembered intimacy, and death while continuing to affirm gratitude, connection, and the unexpected moments of grace that make life worthwhile.

Aaron Gedaliah is a San Francisco-based poet whose work explores the intersections of philosophy, psychoanalysis, and the human condition. His previous collections are The False God’s Lullaby, Secondary Worlds, and What We Hold No Longer. All three received Kirkus Reviews BUY IT verdicts, and his work has earned multiple Literary Titan honors.
Gedaliah began writing poetry after transformative experiences at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, in 1990. He studied with Seymour Carter and Mike Calvello and, more recently, with Bay Area poet Sabina Khan-Ibarra. His literary influences include Rainer Maria Rilke, Sylvia Plath, Antonio Machado, Wendell Berry, and Loren Eiseley.
