BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Cory Watson Attorneys is proud to welcome Chrissy Tubbs as the newest associate attorney to the firm’s growing legal team. Tubbs joins the firm with a passion for advocating on behalf of individuals and families whose lives have been impacted by serious injuries and catastrophic events, bringing both compassion and determination to every client she serves.
Tubbs’ commitment to representing injury victims began long before law school. As a college student, she traveled to Sacramento, California, to assist survivors of the devastating Camp Fire, working alongside attorneys to help families document the personal belongings they had lost. Witnessing the profound impact that corporate negligence can have on entire communities reinforced her desire to become a trial lawyer dedicated to helping those facing unimaginable loss.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of West Alabama before receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law. During law school, Tubbs served on the Law & Psychology Review and the Honors Council, experiences that further strengthened her commitment to legal advocacy and service.
“Chrissy’s passion for helping people is evident in everything she does,” said Stephen Hunt, Principal at Cory Watson Attorneys. “She has a genuine heart for serving clients during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and she understands that effective representation is about more than legal knowledge—it’s about compassion, trust, and standing beside people when they need it most. We are excited to welcome her back to Cory Watson Attorneys and look forward to the impact she’ll make for our clients.”
Tubbs also brings a unique level of empathy to her practice through her own experience recovering from reconstructive arm surgery. Having endured physical therapy, recovery, and the challenges that come with a serious injury, she understands firsthand many of the physical and emotional obstacles her clients face. That perspective fuels her commitment to providing not only skilled legal representation but also reassurance and support throughout the legal process.
“My goal has always been to help people through some of the most challenging times in their lives,” said Tubbs. “Joining Cory Watson Attorneys gives me the opportunity to work alongside attorneys who share that same commitment to client advocacy. I’m honored to be part of a firm that has built its reputation on fighting for those who need a voice, and I look forward to serving our clients with compassion, integrity, and dedication.”
Outside of her legal practice, Tubbs enjoys reading, painting, spending time at the lake with friends, and staying active through recreational softball and kickball leagues. A former collegiate softball player, she also enjoys mentoring young athletes by providing softball hitting lessons whenever she has the opportunity.
Tubbs is licensed to practice law in Alabama and is a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Alabama State Bar.
