Andrew Langel Expands Into Syndicated Real Estate Investments as Part of Long-Term Growth Strategy

Andrew Langel, a real estate developer and general contractor with more than 20 years of hands-on industry experience, is placing growing emphasis on syndicated real estate investments as the next phase of his long-term growth strategy.

After spending the first half of his career personally acquiring, developing, and managing dozens of properties, Andrew Langel began reassessing his investment approach in recent years, moving toward a model built on pooled investment structures rather than sole ownership and day-to-day property management.

“Early in my career, it was all direct ownership,” Andrew Langel said. “That approach built the foundation of my business, but at a certain point, the smarter move is asking what’s sustainable long-term.”

Syndicated investments allow a group of accredited investors to pool capital into vetted real estate deals, sharing both the due diligence process and the financial returns. Andrew Langel describes the model as a hybrid approach that carries less day-to-day operational responsibility than direct property ownership, while still requiring careful evaluation of each opportunity.

“It’s not passive, and I don’t think of it that way,” Andrew Langel said. “It’s a more strategic approach, with a lot of experienced people evaluating a deal together rather than one person carrying all the risk and doing all the work alone.”

Andrew Langel’s move into syndications builds on years of direct real estate investment experience, beginning with an early rental property purchase and expanding through multifamily acquisitions developed under his own general contractor’s license. That hands-on background, he says, gives him a distinct advantage when evaluating syndicated opportunities, since he can assess a project’s construction and renovation requirements with the same scrutiny he applies to its financials.

“Most investors in these groups are looking purely at the numbers,” Andrew Langel said. “I’m looking at the numbers, but I’m also looking at the building itself. That construction background changes how I evaluate a deal.”

As part of this expansion, Andrew Langel has gradually reduced his direct property holdings, retaining a smaller number of long-term assets while reallocating capital toward syndicated opportunities alongside trusted partners in the investment community. He describes this as a deliberate, long-term strategy rather than an exit from real estate.

“This isn’t about stepping away from real estate,” Andrew Langel said. “Construction takes a toll on you over 20 years. This lets me stay involved in real estate investment at a high level without the day-to-day operational demands of managing property after property.”

Looking ahead, Andrew Langel plans to continue building relationships within the syndicated investment community while maintaining a smaller, selective portfolio of directly owned properties and ongoing construction projects.

“The goal now is sustainability,” Andrew Langel said. “Smart, well-vetted deals, good partners, and a long-term view.”
