Industrial Service Solutions completes West Coast electrical mechanical services acquisition

HOUSTON – Industrial Service Solutions (ISS) has acquired Koffler Electrical Mechanical Apparatus Repair, Inc. (Koffler), a San Leandro, California-based electrical mechanical repair and motor sales provider serving industrial customers across the West Coast.

The acquisition expands ISS’s electromechanical service capabilities and strengthens its presence in the Western U.S. Koffler’s San Leandro facility, employees, and established customer relationships will continue operations as part of ISS’s national network of rotating equipment, process equipment, and power generation service providers.

Koffler provides electrical refurbishment, repair, and overhaul services for a diverse customer base that includes naval, refinery, steel, utility, and other industrial operations. The company’s capabilities include electric motor and generator repair, winding, machining, balancing, testing, babbitt bearing repair, laser alignment, field services, and motor sales.

Koffler operates from an 80,000-square-foot facility in San Leandro and is recognized as one of the largest and most capable repairers and refurbishers of electrical mechanical apparatus on the West Coast. Its field service offering includes thermographic surveys, circuit breaker testing, electric motor troubleshooting, VFD installation and startup, and motor and pump removal and reinstallation.

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, ISS provides MRO-focused field, shop, and supply services for a diverse set of industrial markets.
