DENVER, Colo. – July 3, 2026 – The man who built BathGems.com is back. Todd Harmon founded the site in 2005, sold it years later, and has now bought it back through his company, Aura Modern Home LLC. This spring, he relaunched it on a new Shopify storefront with an updated roster of vendors and a tightly edited selection of bathroom vanities and fixtures.

For Harmon, the reacquisition closes a loop that started two decades ago. He spent more than a decade in the bathroom vanity industry, from 2010 to 2020, and previously founded and ran JWH Living, a vanity brand he designed and imported himself. That hands-on background, knowing how a vanity is built rather than just how it’s listed, is what now shapes the BathGems catalog.

“I started BathGems in 2005, so getting it back means a lot to me,” Harmon said. “This time I get to build it the way I always wanted to. I know how a vanity should be made, because I’ve made them. I know how the drawers should glide and how the joinery should hold up. So I only bring in pieces I’d put in my own home, or my family’s. That’s the whole idea. You’re not scrolling through ten thousand listings hoping one is good. We already did that part for you.”

The relaunch moved BathGems off an aging Magento platform and onto Shopify, a change aimed squarely at the shopper. Checkout is faster and more familiar, pages load quicker, and the imagery has room to breathe. Much of that imagery is custom: rather than lean on catalog stock shots, BathGems photographs its vanities in styled, real-world settings, so shoppers can see how a piece actually looks in a home before it ships to theirs.

The catalog is built to be navigated, not waded through. Shoppers can filter by exact size or size range, by color, by wood type and wood tone, by single or double sink, and by countertop material, among other options, a deeper set of filters than most sites in the category offer. The goal is simple: help someone find the right vanity in a few clicks instead of a few hours.

Several collections anchor the selection. The 36-inch vanities suit the compact baths and powder rooms most homes actually have. The white vanities cover the clean, broadly appealing look that never dates. The natural wood vanities, among the strongest groupings on the site, lead with warm, honest grain. And a set of vintage-leaning, old-money designs brings a more collected, heirloom sensibility to the mix.

BathGems serves homeowners planning a full remodel, designers specifying for clients, and anyone updating a single vanity. What ties them together is a preference for pieces that are built to last and made to look beautiful, now chosen by the person who started the brand in the first place.
