Getting the Most Out Of Escape Rooms

January 16 21:51 2019

A fun game that you can play with your family and friends is solving a puzzle in an escape room. This is a room that is designed with a theme and that features clues and riddles that are hidden in the room. Your goal is to solve all of these puzzles in order to escape within a certain amount of time.

One of the oldest games that encourages teamwork, an escape room can be fun for all ages. They aren’t always that easy to defeat, with some requiring quite a bit of thinking before you can get out. Not all escape rooms can be solved, but there are a few tips to keep in mind that can help.

Try to find a large group of friends who you work well with to go to the Lockdown Rooms  you want to try out. You should be able to trust the people who are helping you solve the puzzles. There should be a blend of people who are able to think quickly and who are able to use common sense when solving puzzles as there will usually be a combination of puzzles and riddles here. Most rooms want you to have at least six people in the group. This is usually the maximum number as a lot of people can’t comfortably fit inside a small room. It’s sometimes best to have three or four people together instead of the maximum number so that you can hear each other talk and so that there aren’t too many people trying to overpower each other.

After trying to figure out a clue for a few minutes, let someone else try to solve it so that you don’t lose sight of the overall goal of the room. Even if someone has an idea that might not seem like it would work, you should listen to the suggestion because it might be the answer to the puzzle. When you find something in the room while you’re searching, yell loud enough for everyone to hear you so that you can then start working together to try to solve the clue. Find something that your group isn’t working on so that you have something to do as well. This will make you feel like you’re contributing to the room and will give the group more ways to try to get out because everyone will be looking for clues instead of only one or two of you.

Try not to work on the same puzzles together. Since there will likely be multiple clues found in the room, two or three members should work on one while the other members work on solving another clue. When you find a key that works in a lock, keep the key in that lock. This will prevent you from trying to use the same key multiple times. You should also keep items that you’ve already examined in a separate pile that you know aren’t useful or that have already been used to solve other clues. Keep in mind that there are a few items that will be used more than once, but most rooms try to avoid this because it can sometimes create confusion.
